2022 hasn’t been a kind year on the TV cancellation front, and MTV is joining that list. The music television network recently canceled the reality series. Coast of the Floribama after four seasons, but that’s not even the point. In fact, a film crew was shooting the scenes for the fifth season and one of the stars has proof of that.
page 6 reports that the cast and crew of the MTV series were only notified of the cancellation a few days ago, and it shocked them all. After the news was officially announced, star Nilsa Prowant shared some photos instagram of her marriage to Gus Gazda last year, where the TV crew is clearly visible:
Obviously, the wedding was supposed to appear in the show’s fifth season, which it seemed The Jersey Shore for a new generation, but even if it no longer airs, Prowant still remembers the beautiful day and the wonderful memories he has of it. It’s not uncommon for reality TVs to film things well in advance, but according to the latest report, the cast were shocked by the cancellation considering they had filmed filming for the fifth season. .
At present, no reason has been announced for the cancellation of MTV. Coast of the Floribama, especially when it looked like a fifth season had already been brought forward. While it’s not uncommon for a network or platform to cancel a renewal or cancellation, it’s rarer to do so after filming is done or in the middle of filming.
The series originally premiered in 2017 and for season 2, Coast of the Floribama it was doing pretty well in the standings. Similar to The Jersey Shore, the Florida-based reality series follows a group of young adults living and partying in the Panhandle. It was also one of many whose production was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic during the filming of the fourth season. But we still don’t know what caused Season 5 to be canceled.
In conjunction with the cancellation of the Coast of the FloribamaMTV created the new reality series Buckhead Coast early this summer, which will take place in Georgia, so there should still be future cheating on the net.
Even if it is disappointing Coast of the Floribama it’s gone, I hope fans can still see Nilsa Prowant and Gus Gazda’s special day in one form or another. Or maybe the series is having another hit on Paramount + or another platform, because roll-overs aren’t uncommon these days.
