Big Brother 24: Kyle has gained an unexpected ally after dealing with racial prejudice, but will he save his game?

Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Older brother Live stream of season 24 starting Tuesday 30th August. Read at your own risk!

The fledgling After Party alliance looked set to shake up the game after the double eviction, but how Older brother Season 24 continues to prove that fans should expect the unexpected. A crucial and record-breaking veto victory from Michael Bruner protected him from the plans of Matt Turner’s family head, and a new revelation about Kyle Capener put a big goal on his back. Surprisingly though, after Kyle talks about his racial bias with the Houseguests, it appears he has gained an unexpected ally that could give him a chance to save his game.

For those who have not been live broadcast monitoring with his Paramount + subscription , online fans have been campaigning against Kyle since his departure from Michael and Brittany Hoopes a few weeks ago. Kyle basically told them that he believed the black guests and other minorities had sided, like how The Cookout formed in season 23 . Without saying it explicitly, Kyle has started an alliance of whites to fight it. Now, when it appeared that allies Monte Taylor or Taylor Hale were in danger of going under Turner’s HOH, Brittany and Michael revealed this information at home that ultimately led Turner to name Kyle against Taylor.

Live broadcasts have avoided showing anything that has developed since then, but we have learned enough to know that Kyle admitted his motives were rooted in racing and that he apologized and vowed to work to change his perspective. . Surprisingly, he has found some sympathy for former Dyre Fest HOH Terrance Higgins, who is accordingly actively campaigning to keep Kyle in the game against Taylor.

Terrance Higgins on Big Brother

Why does Terrance defend Kyle after his confession?

The guests had a lot of reactions to the information they learned about Kyle, and understandably many people were shocked. (Same his spectacular Alyssa was surprised ). That said, Terrance sympathized with Kyle, telling him that he thought his prejudice about him was more about living a protected life, and nothing else:

Terrance further stated that if Kyle wanted to have conversations with other people in the house, he would be willing to sit down with him and discuss things. Terrance also spoke later about wanting to keep Kyle in Taylor’s game with Monte, even though Monte didn’t seem so receptive to the idea when he discussed it with Taylor:

Terrance begs for Kyle, which could bring him to life in the game if he’s willing to stay. Whether that actually happens after that bombshell, however, is an entirely different question.

Alyssa and Kyle in CBS Big Brother

Will Terrance be able to save Kyle from eviction?

Kyle would need three votes from the other guests to stay in the game. Assuming you don’t actively tell them to vote against you, you’ll likely have Alyssa Snider and Terrance as two of your three votes. That means I would need Michael, Brittany or Monte to vote out Taylor and even if things don’t look good, there’s a chance it could happen.

Michael and Brittany feel the least likely votes for Kyle, as they started this whole situation. The entire set was built largely to protect the quartet of Michael, Brittany, Taylor and Monte. It would be very shocking to see them activate the plan to protect Taylor from Kyle, but in a season where an unexpected departure leads to the creation of a new majority alliance, who are we to say what can happen?

The person most likely to reverse the vote is Monte, who Terrance worked with most of Tuesday morning. While Monte has an alliance with Taylor, Brittany and Michael, she may find a new life by protecting Kyle and sticking to The Pound’s (Kyle / Monte / Turner) alliance.

Monte has some security right now within his current quartet, but he’s also protecting the strongest alliance in the game. Brittany and Michael are an obvious couple in the house, and one of them has just broken the record for the most vetoed wins in a second season. Michael is fast becoming a target that needs to be eliminated ASAP, and removing Taylor from their number and moving to the other side of the house will greatly undermine his game. Monte would be better off without Michael in the game in recent weeks. But can he afford to leave it now?

Personally, I think it will all depend on whether Monte can get an offer attractive enough to allow him to change. You’ll need some security from After Party, and even then it might not be enough to betray Kyle and kick Taylor out. That said, Kyle still has a better chance than some think in this position, so it will be worth keeping an eye on the live streams over the next few days.

Older brother aired on CBS (opens in a new tab) Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET and Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. Tune in to live streams on Paramount + for the latest updates on what’s going on, as this week may be the time when things change by the hour.
