Disney + has released the second season trailer for “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers”, which shows the children’s hockey team going through their toughest training, in a “vacation” program led by an uncompromising coach.

The preview explores the contrast between the completely out of shape Mighty Ducks and other young athletes, as well as highlighting Lauren Graham (the eternal Lorelai from “A Mom as a Friend”) as the only adult defending children in the storyline.

Mother of a boy (Brady Noon, from “Good Boys”) who was not considered good enough to play hockey, she was the one who spurred the creation of the Ducks with other rejected children in the first year of the attraction. The difference is that the second year does not include the participation of Emilio Esteves, interpreter of coach Gordon Bombay, who since 1992 has led to the victory of discredited teams.

Protagonist of the first season, reprising the role from the film “We Are the Champions” (The Mighty Ducks) and the sequels, Estevez was freed from the attraction after weeks of negotiations that involved the obligation of vaccination against covid-19 of the entire cast of the show. The official explanation for the actor’s departure was “creative differences”.

In his place, actor Josh Duhamel (“Transformers”) was cast as the tough coach who creates friction with Graham’s character Alex Morrow.

The first is scheduled for September 28th.
