Disney+: The final season of this horror series is finally available!

As its title suggests, Dual functionSeason 10 of American Horror Story offers two distinct — and arguably interconnected — storylines. The first is called red wave – The Red Tide in French -, takes place between episodes one and six. Second, death Valley – Valley of Death -, between the seventh and tenth episodes. It’s Ryan Murphy’s loyal collaborator, Brad Falchuk, who signed or co-wrote the script for every episode of this first installment.

red wave follows the nightmare of an uninspired young writer and his family, newly arrived in the small town of Provincetown. When strange events begin, the author descends into madness. If the various seasons of American Horror Story have always honored the classics of the horror genre, this season 10 continues the tradition with a story that directly echoes the brilliance of Stephen King, adapted to film by Stanley Kubrick.

Finn Wittrock, who plays the main character of this first installment, Harry Gardner, was directly inspired by the iconic film to feed his character. “The Shining is one of my favorite movies of all time, so it’s always on my mindHe explained to Entertainment Weekly magazine. Obviously, I’ve been thinking about that in preparation for this season. The fear provided by The Shining is what we are trying to recreate here, namely the fear of the unknown..”

The anthology series owes its success, in part, to its stellar cast, who return each season to play different characters. After the ninth chapter, marked by the absence of iconic actors, Dual function stroke correction. Sarah Paulson returns in an even more whimsical role as a strange woman named Tuberculosis Karen. Evan Peters lends his features to Austin Somers, and Frances Conroy stars as Belle Noir, a best-selling author of erotic novels.

Lily Rabe this time explains one of the main characters of the season, Doris Gardner, the writer’s wife; Dennis O’Hare portrays Holden and Billie Lord, Lark. Angelica Ross, already introduced in season 9 and revealed in a series of poses, plays a mysterious role here, that of a chemist.

This tenth season also marks the return of Macaulay Culkin, star of two films, Mom, I miss the plane. For many years, the actor was very cautious, before gradually returning to the stage with small appearances in TV series. With American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy offers the ’90s icon a role worthy of his talent.

Another new recruit, Chad Michaels, world famous drag queen and winner of the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. Similar to singer Cher, she is a huge fan of the anthology series.
