
The first of two so-called Creative Arts Emmys 2022 ceremonies was dominated by music productions. Saturday’s awards are just the first part of some 90 Emmy Preliminary categories, ahead of the top 27 awards.
With the Television Academy Awards totaling 119 categories, the Emmy is divided into three evenings. The first two evenings are dedicated to technical trophies, animations, documentaries, variety specials and reality shows, and take place this weekend. The main Emmys will be awarded on September 12, in a televised ceremony in Los Angeles.
