As explained by John Williams, this work is about a new character played by actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The composer said he recorded the piece in the studio last week, so it was intended for the James Mangold film. He described the character as an “adventurer” and a “femme fatale” (in the text in French)! “It’s full of stuff“, he added.His character has a bit of a lyrical feel to it, a bit like an old movie star“.
