Stop asking Hilary Swank if she’s going to appear in Cobra Kai! Not that the two-time Oscar-winning actress, who made her mark in 1994’s Miss Karate Kid, is against the idea of appearing in a TV series that follows the Karate Kid trilogy. But just… because he’s never heard of the Netflix show!
In 2019, during an interview given on the website UPROXXThe latter actually revealed that he didn’t know the series existed and believed that the questions people often ask about Cobra Kai are about… his dog!
Oh my god, this is so much fun. I didn’t even know what it was and people kept asking me: When are you going to do Cobra Kai? And I wondered: what are they talking about? My dog’s name is Kai so I had no idea what they meant. And finally I understood.
A funny anecdote, but one that doesn’t answer the question of whether her character Julie Pierce could appear in the series, joining another of Master Miyagi’s disciples, Daniel LaRusso, played by Ralph Macchio.
Series co-creator Hayden Schlossberg did open the door to a possible Hilary Swank appearance in Cobra Kai, though she has yet to appear – or be mentioned – on the show!
