Following her live-action introduction in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), who also appears in the Boba Fett book, will return to her own series in 2023 Another character from the Star Wars universe will be making his live-action debut as well: a certain Ezra Bridger…
According to The Hollywood Reporter, via the Cinelinx site, actress Eman Esfand will play the animated character in Star Wars: Ahsoka, created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for Disney+.

Ezra Bridger made his debut in the 2014 animated series Star Wars Rebels voiced by actor Taylor Grey. The character then went from a force-gifted orphan to a Jedi-trained rebel.
In the cast of the new series we can also find Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Australian actress Natasha Liu Bordizo as Sabine Wren and comedian Ukrainian Ivana Sakhno. Hayden Christensen will reprise his iconic role as Anakin Skywalker, while Ray Stevenson will play the mysterious villain.
Although no plot details have been released yet, we do know that Tano will travel across the galaxy in search of the former commander of the Empire, Grand Admiral Thrawn. Note that Star Wars Rebels ended with Thrawn and Ezra disappearing into space…
Eman Esfandi previously starred in Robert Rodriguez’s horror film Red 11, which premiered at Cannes in 2019, as well as The Williams Method, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture, among other things. He also appears in the military drama The Inspection, which recently received strong reviews at the Toronto Film Festival.
Rumors have swirled for months about who would play Ezra in the show, with 2019’s live-action Aladdin star Mena Massoud being mentioned. The latter put these rumors to rest peacefully, which ended with this official announcement.
“I’m glad the rumors have stopped now. Unfortunately, I never had any luck (self-recorded video months ago), but it just wasn’t for meMasoud wrote on Twitter on Friday. “I can’t deny that the boy looks exactly like Ezra. I hope justice will be served!“
Another rumor has it that the first look at the project will be shown at Disney’s D23 Expo, which will be held this weekend in California. To be continued.
