Marvel: After 14 years, this villain returns in Captain America 4

Fourteen years after the release of “The Incredible Hulk”, the villain played by Tim Blake Nelson will make a big return in the movie “Captain America 4: The New World Order”.

Some Marvel fans probably don’t remember him anymore. Portrayed by Tim Blake Nelson, Samuel Stearns (also known to comic book fans as “Leader”) was the second villain in The Incredible Hulk, directed by Louis Leterrier, the second MCU film to see a film after Iron Man.

And as Tim Roth, meanwhile, Emil Blonsky’s (also loathsome) translator, returned for the She-Hulk series after the film Shang-Chi, now Leader is also preparing to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Outside of the D23 convention, it has indeed been revealed that Tim Blake Nelson will be the big villain of the upcoming Captain America: New World Order movie. Remember that the superhero will no longer be played by Chris Evans, but by his successor, Anthony Mackie, previously the interpreter of the Falcon.

A most surprising announcement, but one that proves once again how much all the MCU movies, including the oldest, form a perfectly fine-tuned narrative continuity! We bet this new look will land you a role worthy of the actor’s immense talent, most notably seen in the Watchmen series and the Coen brothers’ film O’Brother.

Captain America: The New World Order, directed by Julius Ona (The Cloverfield Paradox), hits our screens on May 1, 2024.
