Ice Age: Scrat finally managed to eat acorns!

As Blue Sky Studios prepares to close their doors, “Ice Age” artists wanted to say goodbye to their famous mascot with a small new short film.

Twenty years ago, on the opening stage of the first part of the Ice Age, little squirrel Scratch was already struggling to eat a belly that had just recovered, thus provoking – even though he was himself – the beginning of a terrible ice age. Today, after 5 feature films and the latest series on Disney +, it is already over!

Indeed, in a nearly thirty-second short film posted on Youtube this Wednesday, April 13th, we can finally observe how Scratt eats the bump that has haunted him for so long. Titled “The End”, this little video is actually the last stand. These are Blue Sky studios that will close their doors in a few days after 35 years of existence.

As part of Disney’s takeover of Fox in 2017, the company closed Ice Age Studios for economic reasons. That’s why the thirty-year-old blue sky epic ended this week with these shocking farewells by artists to their famous mascot.

Despite the closure of the studio, the release of Ice Age-related products continues on Disney +. Thus, on March 25, the users of the platform were able to discover the new adventure of Buck Wilde (a feature film focused on Fakiz Dzu), then, more recently, a series of short films dedicated to Scrat … and his adoring descendants. .
