A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Tuesday, September 13, 2022 [SPOILERS]

Vanessa returns to the novel unsuspecting that Emma is in the back of her pickup truck. He approaches their house and watches them from the window. Vanessa tells Romain that she was suspicious of Emma during the tasting because she absolutely wanted to know where they lived. Romain confirms that Emma is one of his patients, and then claims that his son Mathis has respiratory problems that were probably worsened by the fire. He convinces her to call Emma to reassure her. As she calls, with Vanessa, Emma’s cell phone rings outside. Mad with rage, Vanessa follows him outside before hitting him with the butt of her shotgun.

Meanwhile, Justin and Baptiste wake up from their nap. They find that new outbreaks of fire have been announced. Although Baptiste is motivated to go to the rink, Justin has a bad feeling and prefers to stay in bed with her. After making love, they leave together with an intervention. But on the way, Baptiste gets a call from Gabriel, because Mathis is asking for his father. So Baptiste decides to join Justin later.

On the other hand, Vanessa starts a ritual and sets fire to the house. Inside, Romain and Emma are tied up. But the doctor manages to grab Emma’s cell phone and throw it at her. Vanessa returns, invites Romain to break up and follow her outside. Emma meanwhile stays inside.

At the same time, Justin is on a mission. He enters the burning building against the advice of his adjutant, who prefers to wait for the Baptist. Justin promises to come back if there are any problems. But he is tricked and finds himself thrown to the floor.

The warrant officer immediately contacted Baptiste to ask for help and get Justin right. But before he leaves, Baptiste gets a call from Emma as well.
