Dragon House on OCS: Episode 4 Recap, Demon and Renira Play Sensational Play

Please note that the following is the plot of Episode 4 of Dragon Series, which is available on OCS on demand. If you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to know anything about its content, I suggest you stop reading this article now.

Let’s cut to the credits of episode 4 of House of the Dragon, with its rivers of blood just to get us in the mood.

And it begins with a scene that is awkward to say the least. Rhaenyra is presented with an endless line of suitors willing to marry her in order to get closer to the throne. The first to open the ball is even older than her father, Renira tired. The next one still has serum from his nose.

However, the child is undeterred and offers his protection to the princess riding the dragon as another suitor mentions him mocking the very young suitor. He calls him a coward, too much for the young man to draw his sword, ready to defend his honor. As Rhaenyra leaves the room, exhausted by the sight, the young suitor slashes her taunting opponent with her sword. First Blood In less than 5 minutes, we’re up to Game of Thrones standards.

On the way to King’s Landing, Rhaenyra and Ser Christon Cole discuss the deck of Viserys’ predictable displeasure after he dismisses all his suitors. And then, out of nowhere, a dragon lands and nearly capsizes the boat. Yes, Game of Thrones fans, you’ll remember that nearly 200 years before Daenerys, all of this was commonplace.

In the crowded throne room, Viserys prepares for a public audience. But with whom? With a demon, of course! He steps forward, sporting a new (very 80s) haircut. So he was the one who drove his dragon like a dragon.

He starts with a favor: a sword that he throws on the ground to add to the throne. A delicate gift. And against all odds, he bends the knee and pledges his allegiance to the king, his brother. He also comes to boldly announce his victory over the Crab. A beginner’s level DIY model of fake crowns imagined by children during the crowning of the king. Viserys hugs him and thanks him. Emotion and applause.

Viserys congratulates his brother in the courtyard gardens. The polar atmosphere between Rhaenyra and Alicent, who look at each other like faience dogs. And when Renira in turn congratulates her uncle, she receives a look from her father. The heir to the throne dared to say the word… oh la la… the name of Zeus. (Actually, Viserys is furious because his daughter comes home without a potential husband.)

He goes to stand aside and Alicent tries to get closer and is about to join him. A successful strategy during exchanges where they make the bitter observation that their situation is limited by their status and ability to generate heirs.

After a while, Renira and the demon reunited and their complicity reappeared. The dear uncle does not notice that his niece has matured well in four years and tries to soothe his niece’s bitterness with some absurdities about life.

In the King’s Council we lament the alliances that Lord Corliss could have made, having failed to form a bond between his (very young) daughter and the King. Which could affect Renira’s marriage.

Renyra rejoiced that she would not choose a husband

In the evening, Renira discovers a mysterious package in her room: clothes for the page and plans to sneak out of the room incognito. A secret passage leads to the dungeons of the castle, where the skull of the dragon Balerion is enshrined. With his pants, t-shirt, little jacket and hat, he has a Brooklyn hipster look!

Unsurprisingly, Damon comes out to meet her. He has a face borrowed from a Da Vinci Code fanatic. He is then taken to the underworld area of Port Real. Viserys, meanwhile, is less than thrilled with Alicent tending to his festering wounds. Renira attends a street performance, sort of the equivalent of Twitter, where she discovers that she’s not really popular with the crowd.

In the middle of the night, Viserys calls his wife Alicent into his room. It is simple. The poor young woman does her family duty and is nothing more than a support for her husband’s impulses, all rotten, lying on top of her. 1/ We sympathize with him. 2/ We would like to recommend a Betadine shower afterwards.

The demon is also in the mood to let his needs do the talking. He takes his niece to a luxury house where everyone indulges in their fantasies. Sentimental education in the Targayans is not very Flaubert. So Uncle Daemon begins to seduce and kiss his sweet niece Renira. Everything is fine. With a parallel montage of Alicent, who seems to be having much less fun in the family bed.

Of course, Renira sees no objection to this, but the demon decides at the last moment to stop what she started and leaves, leaving her half-naked niece in the middle of everyone. The child sees the princess coming out of the sulphurous place and follows her.

Rhaenyra returns to the castle and her room, guarded by Ser Christon Cole, who hears nothing when he sees her arrive as she crawls forward, believing her to be sleeping soundly.

When he worries about her condition, she decides to play with him. He steals her helmet, lets her into his room, and decides to make it four o’clock. At this time, Kristen Cole pretends to resist or at least does nothing. The knight is shy. After a kind of long medieval striptease – yes, it takes a long time to remove the armor – Rhaenyra tastes the pleasure of the flesh in the arms of her brave knight.

End of fun. Otto Hightower, aka Hand of the King, gets a late visit from a child who saw Rhaenyra leave the pleasure house. As for the demon, he apparently wakes up from a severe torment in Misaria, alias the White Worm, his ex-wife-to-be. She gave up prostitution for intelligence.

Clearly uncomfortable, the hand goes into the king’s bedchamber to tell him that his daughter is a whore. The statement is not clearly made in these terms, but it is the idea that emerges. And he drives the point home by pointing out that “He smiled with his uncle“.

Viserys doesn’t want to hear anything and doesn’t believe a word of it. But Alicent, hidden behind the screen, does not let go. It didn’t take long for Rhaenyra to receive a message from the queen, Alicent, to come and join her.

Shocked and upset, Alicent questions Renira about her morals. Renira swears to Alicent that the demon has never touched her. In memory of my mother. (It’s not pretty, Renira). But this was the final argument to convince Alicent of the dubious and virtuous mistress. A queen can’t resist a little reminder of the importance of virginity, especially a princess.

As for the demon, he returns to the prison still mutilated and is picked up by soldiers who take him straight to the king. Stretched out on the ground, heavily soaked, she responds to accusations of incest. He does not deny anything and asks his brother to marry his niece. (No, we’re not drowning at all)

Daemon Targaryen: He likes to be unbearable

In revenge, Viserys frees the demon and orders it to return to the valley where his wife lives.

Back in his quarters, Viserys is disappointed. But Alicent assures him that the demon lied that Rhaenyra had not sinned. Renira is summoned by her father. He teaches her about her dating and responsibilities. And he finishes telling her about his destiny: marrying Laenor Velarion, son of Lord Corliss, a purely political decision. It accepts one condition.

A little later, Viserys takes Otto Hightower personally. He confronts her about personal interests: getting her daughter into the hands of the king. At this Viserys removes the title of Hand of the King.

Later that evening, Renira receives the Grand Maester in her room, who has come to bring her a homemade potion. A drink that avoids the “unwanted state”, translation: morning after pill.

Generic.
