“Stranger Things” executive producer Shawn Levy, who will also direct “Deadpool 3,” revealed that he is learning from Kevin Feige how to build a cinematic universe to apply knowledge in developing the series’ cinematic universe.
In conversation with the magazine Variety, Levy commented on the expansion of the universe of the “Stranger Things” series, which is in the writing phase of its fifth and final season. Netflix has already confirmed several spin-offs in development, which would include a stage show and a new live-action series.
“Yes, we are building the STCU,” confirmed Levy with the acronym for “Stranger Things Cinematic Universe”. “Now that I’m spending time with [o presidente da Marvel Studios] Kevin Feige, I’m learning a lot about universe management. So I’m taking those skills and applying them to the STCU.
Shawn Levy’s closeness to Kevin Feige, of course, ties into the upcoming film in the “Deadpool” series, in which the two work together. In that sense, Levy even talked about a crazy possibility of a “Stranger Things” and “Deadpool” crossover.
“Interesting, Ryan [Reynolds, que vive o Deadpool] and I was trying to figure out how we could make a crossover between Deadpool and Stranger Things. We haven’t figured it out yet, but it’s on the table, “Levy said.
The Duffer brothers, creators of “Stranger Things” and Netflix have yet to reveal what the spin-off series will be in development, but have already confirmed that none of the show’s main cast will be in attendance. “The key for us is that [qualquer spin-off] it has to look like something different, not that we’re just rebuilding what we’ve already done, ”Ross Duffer told SFX.
Likewise, the show has no great details revealed, other than the fact that it “will take place within the world and mythology” of “Stranger Things” and will be directed by Stephen Daldry of “The Crown”.
The “Stranger Things” post will have an MCU-inspired cinematic universe that first appeared on Olhar Digital.
