On September 25, the first national suspense thriller on HBO Max. with direction of Fabinho Mendonça And Daniele Lief, Valley of the Forgotten was inspired by the foggy weather of Paranapiacaba (SP), where it was recorded.

“I’ve been wanting to do a thriller series for a while and I remembered the houses that looked haunted there. We had the idea of a city that you can’t leave. The big difference is that this was a project born of location.” He says. .

As they try to understand what really happened and what keeps them in that mysterious place, young people will find themselves in the middle of a dark secret that has remained hidden for over a century.
The innovation of the genre implies an innovation in acting, according to Carol, which brings the character Ana to life. “The suspense interferes with how we create the narrative and we have less time in the interpretation. It doesn’t have the same speed as realistic acting, we have to explore new ways to make a series,” she says.
As for the setting of the story, Daniel, the interpreter of Bento, guarantees that the mists have also boosted the inspiration to build the character. “It’s different, because when you get ready in a studio, there is a fear of ‘how do I do it?’. Getting to town has helped me reach this place of suspense,” he says.
