Released on bail (paid by Anita), he can leave, but will definitely be charged. Angry Anita doesn’t understand why she doesn’t want to admit who gave her the car.

At the high school, Marco (Danny Raco) discovers that Principal Carson (John Gregg) is practicing bowls on the roof of the school. He is interested, unlike the other students – led by Danny (Putu Winchester) – who have come to mock Carson, calling the discipline a “geriatric” sport.

But Marco, who has already played bocce, expresses his interest. Carson then gives him some advice and lets him try his hand at the game.

During Mrs. Cassis’s (Elena Karapetis) science class, Tess (Katherine Hicks) declares that she believes in ghosts and is then upset when Dennis and the others mock her belief, especially Zach (Luke Jacobs).

After class, Zach tries to talk to her, but Tess remains cold: she doesn’t understand why. He is upset.

At the garage, Drazic is visited by Louis (Nick Bishop), who has delivered the stolen car to him. The latter gives him money in exchange for bail and inconvenience – especially to buy silence.

Meanwhile, Marco goes to meet Carson at the Bulls Club: the director then starts training him. But Marco’s aggressive style is somewhat at odds with Carson’s more cautious approach…

At Zac’s, Dennis came across a photograph of a young man and his mother, which he dropped: he picked up the frame and read a few words written on the back of the picture. By questioning Zack about the woman’s identity, he learns that the latter’s mother died about 10 years ago.

In science class, Tess brings something to connect with the spirits, but Mrs. Cassis tells her it’s out of place. The young girl then decides to hold a spiritualism session at her home that evening and invites anyone who wants to experience it.

On the school benches, Zach means to apologize to Tess and confides in her: if he is so reluctant to face his faith, it is because he lost his mother and because death scares him.

Dražić is visited by Gillespie, who offers to help – as he promised Anita – but Dražić, true to himself, refuses and‘Inspector He admits that he wants Anita back by his side before he leaves.

It’s time for the session: at Tessie’s, Dennis, Tanya, Zach, and the others gather around the table, each putting a finger to the upturned glass. Tess asks questions about a possible spirit that might be around…and the glass starts moving.

Anita, on the other hand, is still trying to convince Dražić, who is too stubborn to profess his innocence in front of his lover’s ex. She begs him to talk so their future together won’t be damaged.

Back at Tessie’s, “Soul” continues to answer the young woman’s questions, naming who she’s talking to: some puke… A worried Zack leaves his seat.

In the garage, Louie is back, only to threaten Dražić some more: He hands him a business card with a lawyer’s number that will help him get his sentence reduced to a few months less jail time.

Arriving at the tournament, Carson and Marco prepare to compete and meet their opponents.

Later, in high school, Zack criticizes Tess for manipulating him and admits to her that he is a puke: it was a nickname his mother gave him. Tess is convinced that the spirit was there, but Zach doesn’t believe it. He also tells her that he thinks she’s hiding behind his goth appearance. Tess later learns from Dennis that she was the one who moved the mug and that she read Zach’s nickname on the photo he took.

After Dragic doubts his future, we find Carson and Marco at the tournament. The score is tight and Marco wants to try a risky maneuver that his teammate disapproves of and forbids. Marco reluctantly listens.

With his options limited and Anita’s words resonating with him, Dragic ultimately decides to cooperate with the police to ensure Louis is charged with the crime and save himself jail time in the process.

So he goes to meet Gillespie at the police station and points Louis in the line of suspects. He threatens her with retribution.

At the same time, it’s Carson’s turn to play in the tournament: he finally decides to listen to Marco and takes a risk… which works out! He ends up winning the trophy.

With a brighter future ahead and after taking this big step that shows he can change and grow as a person, Dragic finally realizes what Anita means to him and has a question for her… On the steps out of the police station, he asks her to move in with him and marry him! Surprised, the young woman replies that she will think about it. The pair leave the stage, leaving Gillespie behind them, alone.

Tess’s faith is shaken now that she knows the truth: At home, she removes her goth face and then finds Zach, completely changed. She no longer wears makeup and dark clothes and admits to Zach that she has a good time with him: it’s mutual and they hug.

In the final scene of the series, Dragic drives up to the front of the school, his car siren on full blast, attracting all the students who gather to see what’s going on. Carson, annoyed, asks him to cut the siren. Dragic pretends not to hear before he hangs up the device.

There he talks to Anita sitting on the balcony of the building: he wants to know her answer to the marriage proposal. The young woman says nothing and turns to join the stairs. She approaches him and says “yes” before jumping on his shoulder in front of the crowd as Dražić announces that they are getting married. Carson asks the students to return to the classroom.

Dragic explains that the whole school is invited, even Carson, who says he’ll have to consult his calendar. As the students begin to disperse, Dražić thanks Anita for the reception and kisses her. Carson addresses the couple one last time and wishes them luck: he sincerely hopes that their union will be successful.

Dragic and Anita kiss again. The final shot shows Dragic’s car returning to where it came from, greeted by a few students who stayed to celebrate, and leaving Hartley High School where life will go on without us. Hartley’s End hearts alive
