Seishun Buta Yarou series: anime to make an important announcement over the weekend

Fans speculate on a new character, the rabbit girl, who would trigger “puberty syndrome”

On the official website of Seishun Buta Yarou Series, anime adaptation of the light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keiji MizoguchiAn update has been posted informing that there will be a special broadcast on September 24 at 8pm (Japan time, 8am on the same day in Brazil).

From the way the announcement was made and the fact that “fans have been invited to gather on the official site”, there will apparently be a big announcement for the franchise, which will likely be the long-awaited second season.

According to rumors circulating among fans, there is a mysterious phenomenon called “puberty syndrome”. For example, Sakuta Azusagawa is a high school student who suddenly sees a rabbit girl appear in front of him. The girl is actually a young girl named Mai Sakurajima who, in addition to being a student, is also a famous actress who is taking a break from her career.

For some reason, the people around Mai cannot see her bunny figure. Sakuta wants to solve this mystery and, as he spends more time with Mai, he uncovers her secret feelings.

Hence, more people with “puberty syndrome” start to appear.

The novel had, in October 2018, an adaptation of the anime series by the CloverWorks studio and directed by Soichi Masui (Chaika the coffin princess, Sakura Quest). And an anime film premiered in June 2019.
