Netflix’s global Tudum event kicked off Friday night (September 23) focusing on South Korean productions. Highlights from the broadcast included unreleased footage from “Round 6”, “Prophecy of Hell” (Hellbound), “La Casa de Papel: Korea” and the new competition series “A Batalha dos 100” ( Physical 100).
Netflix’s most watched series of all time, “Round 6,” has received the green light for a second season, but is still a long way from the start of production. As a result, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk introduced a never-before-seen scene from season one, cut in the final edit, which would be the original revelation of the Front Man’s (Lee Byung-hun) mysterious identity.
The short and macabre scene of “Hell’s Prophecy”, in turn, confirms that the terror is not over and returns for its second season, possibly in 2023. The series was created by Yeon Sang-ho, director of the film “Zombie Invasion “- one of the best zombie movies of recent times – and adapts the webtoon (South Korean digital comics)” Hell “(Jiok), following the chaos caused by the emergence of supernatural beings, who begin to condemn people to hell, while a new religious group begins to preach that these beings are sent by God.
The second season of “La Casa de Papel: Korea” got a breathtaking fight and chase scene. Remake of the Spanish phenomenon, the series of recovered robberies will have new episodes later this year.
Finally, “The Battle of 100” had its premise explained in a trailer. It is a competition of physical strength, in which 100 strongmen fight each other and face challenges – reminiscent of “Round 6”, but without kills – to determine who has the best strong physique.
Tudum: Korea was presented by singer-actor Choi Min-ho, who will star in the romantic comedy “The Fabulous”, and by actress Cho Yi-Hyun (“All of Us Are Dead”).
The complete lineup also included a bizarre segment of “La Casa de Papel” with techno choreography, as well as scenes from the new series “Glitch” and “20th Century Girl”, and special presentations from the aforementioned “The Fabulous” and season 2. of the dating and adventure show “Singles, Islanders and Desperate” (Inferno Singles).
Check out the full program / event below. And it is worth mentioning that Tudum continues this Saturday afternoon (24 hours a day) with productions from the USA, Europe and South America.
