A huge success in China, The Three-Body Problem has also met with an international audience after being translated into English and has delighted critics who compare the work. 2001: A Space Odyssey. For this large-scale transposition, Netflix called on a duo that had already worked on major series.

The road is long for this project, which was announced two years ago, but the platform was able to show some behind-the-scenes images of the series during the world event TUDUM. Between the set, the filming phases, and the cast reveal, the public has been treated to a promising taste of what promises to be Netflix’s most ambitious SF series yet.
Among the lucky actors are Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), John Bradley, Liam Cunningham and Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones). The rest of the cast includes Tsai Chin, Jowan Adepo, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Si Shimuka, Summer Usman, Rosalind Chao, Ben Schnetzer and Eva Ridley.
Production on Three-Body Problem has just wrapped and the teams are moving into the post-production phase. Therefore, we will have to wait until 2023 before we discover this ambitious, universal and epic series.
