The War of Worlds on CANAL +: How does the science fiction series end?

Warning, spoilers! The following article will reveal the main plot elements of War of the Worlds as well as its ending.

After 3 seasons on the air, the sci-fi series La Guerre des Mondes is set to air this Monday, September 26 on CANAL+, with the last two episodes airing.

Adapted from the acclaimed novel by HG Wells, this ambitious Franco-British and Canadian production follows a small group of survivors led by a neuroscientist as they try to understand the origins of alien invaders who are about to attack Earth.

declared Howard Overman, creator of War of the Worlds, as “The climax of the trilogy”, this season 3 explores new issues such as parallel reality, metaphysical phenomena and allows itself to take us into space.

Find out if Bill and Catherine will be able to save the world as the final episode airs.

While strange lights appear in the sky all over the world, Defense Minister Rachel Brest takes Zoe (Pearl Chanda) to her headquarters to tell her everything she knows. She then admits to him that they have created a mini black hole that is entangled with the hole at the edge of Earth’s atmosphere.

He also explains to them that when the waves exceed a certain threshold, the people on the surface will die. But while they thought Bill Ward (Gabrielle Byrne) was in a coma, a young woman reveals that’s not entirely true.

In a parallel world, Bill talks to Catherine (Lea Drucker). A scientist thinks he has found a way to close a black hole. If they manage to interfere with the quantum fabric, which is very delicate, they might shut it down.

But the same waves must be emitted on the other side. Without it, the entanglement will remain intact. So they need to find a transmitter powerful enough to send waves into space. They then decide to go to Arocast Tower in hopes that the transmitter is still working.

But for this they will have to take tunnels. Bill, Catherine and Nathan (Paul Gorostide) set off. But an alien attack forces the group apart. Nathan really has to stay behind to protect them.

Arriving at the top of the tower, Catherine starts the emergency generator to run the transmitter. They then go to the roof to align the transmitter with the black hole. Catherine then manages to hook up with Richard (Lucas Haas).

He informs them that he has found a way to close the black hole. Unfortunately, if they succeed in their mission, the energy released will cause a huge explosion. If the atmosphere is to protect Earth, the space station must be destroyed.

Moments later, Richard explains the plan to Juliet (Lizzie Broschere), informing her that in order to have the power to transmit the signal, they will have to cut everything but the LSS. Which means they won’t be able to launch the capsule to return to Earth.

Richard then offers Juliet to return to Earth while he remains in the space station. But at the last moment, Juliet chooses to stay with him.

The effect of the waves on the earth is felt more and more. As he is about to complete the mission, Catherine passes out. Richard then decides to guide Bill to complete his entry into the program.

The scientist uses the last of his strength to launch the signal. Fortunately, he succeeds and the black hole gradually begins to disappear. Unfortunately, the explosion destroys the space station. Juliet and Richard Marton find themselves in the middle of space. In another world, the black hole was also closed.

On Earth, Catherine wakes up to find Billy injured in the creature’s attack, but it’s too late for her. He knows he cannot recover from his injuries and then asks Catherine to leave him alone.

On the way back, he discovers that Nathan is still alive but badly injured. Both return to camp. It is difficult for Ekaterina to be happy, because she could not fulfill all her promises.

After two weeks, life will resume its course on Earth. Zoe Kariem gives Gat Wich Machar (Bayo Gbadamos) some documents. He takes the opportunity to suggest meeting her for drinks. The young man accepts without hesitation.

In another world, while Bill is in the hospital in a coma, his son comes to apologize to him. For his part, Johannes watches helplessly as Catherine dies in a hospital bed.

All three seasons of The War of the Worlds are available in their entirety on MyCANAL. The last two episodes of season 3 will be broadcast from 21:05 on CANAL+.
