The Duffer brothers, creators of the series, confirmed the character’s farewell
If there was still hope regarding the fate of a character from Stranger Thingsthe creators of the series, the brothers dufferreinforced, in a new interview, that he is indeed dead after the events of Season 4’s Volume 2.

This is Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn). A newcomer to the series, he died choosing to sacrifice himself to distract the “bats” of the Upside Down. And in an interview with the podcast Happy, Sad, Confused, the two confirmed that Eddie, “unfortunately”, is dead.
The same goes for the “Pope”, Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine). “Really, this time,” they joked.
The episodes of Stranger Things are all available for streaming on Netflix. Season 5, which will be the last of the series, has already been confirmed by the platform, but does not yet have a premiere date.
