Almost thirty years after the release of the first film, “Hocus Pocus 2” is coming to Netflix. An adventure for the whole family, but what exactly can you expect from it?
The Disney company knows a lot of underrated movies. Most have not had the success they had hoped for upon release. Hocus Pocus is one of them. Over the years, Kenny Ortega’s horror comedies have managed to gain a bit of a reputation. So much so that the long-awaited sequel by fans is coming twenty-nine years later.
Hocus Pocus 2 marks the return of the Sanderson sisters, Winifred, Sarah and Mary. Three witches banished from Salem are resurrected with the help of two teenage witches. The trio is prepared for anything, especially the worst, so that they don’t disappear at sunrise.

What will they like?
- Fear not, witches in Hocus Pocus are not as scary as in fairy tales. On the contrary, they are funny, surprising and sometimes disturbing. Each has its own personality: Winifred is the oldest, the strictest, Sarah is the most naive, and as for Mary, she is not the smartest. Their characters work perfectly thanks to the talent of the three actors who play them.
- Hocus Pocus 2 offers a real mix of genres. There is action, laughter, but also music! In the film, the magicians lend their voices to two startling and smile-inducing revivals. Special mention to the song from their first set, a cover of Elton John’s hit.
