A better life, it’s almost over. To kick off the series finale, which will take place on November 18th, the writers made the bold choice to kill off one of Mistral’s symbols. In this Monday night’s episode, viewers actually witnessed the death of Roland Marc (Michel Cordes), an iconic character of the series that has been around since its 2004 release.
In this final touching scene, the entire Mars clan finally reunites at the Mistral Bar to celebrate Lola (Marie Malia) and Killian’s (Tim Russo) birthday. A reunion placed under the banner of reconciliation, much to the joy of Roland, who sees that everyone close to his heart has finally made peace.
He then decides to play soccer with Matty, his grandson. All seems to be going well, however, as Roland collapses on the Place du Mistral, the victim of a heart attack. A tragic and touching scene that certainly didn’t go down well with netizens who were there last night to say goodbye to the patriarch of the March Clan.
“Roland’s death is really scary, I’ve never cried so much in front of a scene! I still shudder at the impression that Roland was a member of my family“, “It’s very difficult in terms of emotions, the writers went all out“- fans of the series write on Twitter.

Some even saw Roland’s death as a symbol of the end of Plus belle la vie, while others applauded the audacity of the screenwriters to kill off an iconic character just months before the curtain fell.
Whatever we may think of the choice of this scenario, there is only one French newspaper that had the opportunity to make such an important episode for its public, and even with the will of the whole world, others could not do it. means what it means.#PBLV

Roland’s death equals Mistral’s death… so the circle is complete… ππ

If Roland’s death affected many Internet users, some fans still condemned the decision to kill off one of the main characters just weeks before the end of Plus belle la vie.
“#PBLV ends in two months after 18 years, and the writers couldn’t think of anything better than to kill Roland Mark’s column in front of his entire family. Only two months were left. He could live on fishing, love and clean water, but not on a heart attack.β We can read on Twitter.
You will be able to make the effort and remove the worst first that makes us die roland wsh roland legend pblv we have our grandfather too!!!!!! #PBLV

#PBLV 18 is coming to an end in two months, and the writers couldn’t think of a better way than to kill off Roland Mark, the pillar of the series, in front of his entire family. Only two months were left. He could live on fishing, love and clean water, but not on a heart attack. ππ‘
