Sauron has finally been unmasked! Since the release of The Rings of Power, theories have abounded as to who the necromancer, the future owner of the One Ring, and the main villain of the Lord of the Rings series is hiding.
alien from heaven It’s not certain, especially since the latter may be another hugely popular character with Tolkien fans. Or Adari, as surfers assumed when he first appeared? The theory was unfortunately debunked by the character’s announcement in Episode 6.
But for many netizens, the answer has already been found, as they say Sauron is actually hiding…under the cloak of Halbrand! This hypothesis is also based on solid evidence, which lends further credit to this theory!
First of all, his meeting with Adar, which led to the strangest exchange. After defeating the latter, Halbrand asks the enemy if he recognizes him, implying that the two characters have already crossed paths in the past. Only, Adori answers him in the negative, her face showing the same puzzled look as us watching this scene.
Halbrand’s hatred of Adar is also intriguing, as Episode 6 teaches us that under the latter’s command the orcs rebelled against Sauron, and that the necromancer was severely injured by Adar to the point where he was presumed dead. So it’s amazing that Halbrand and Sauron are driven by the same desire for revenge against the same person!
Or was Halbrand none other than Sauron?
Another amazing fact: Halbrand’s coronation at the end of Episode 6 coincides with the birth of the land of Mordor and the eruption of Amon Amarth’s volcano, the very place where Sauron forms the One Ring a few years later.
Let’s also remember that one of the first lines spoken by Halbrand in the series was: “Appearance is often not what it seems”And in the second episode, he said that his name “Depends on who you ask”.
Finally, before he claims to have been driven out of his home by the orcs (as Sauron was), let’s remember that Halbrand is going to become a… blacksmith (eg confirm that the latter and the necromancer are indeed the same person!
