After his surprise return in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Disney+ announced the development of Daredevil: Born Again, fans of Matthew Murdoch, aka Daredevil, are eager to find the superhero. Speculation is rife on the networks about the upcoming casting, but a point of clarification is necessary.
Actress Eiza Gonzalez has responded to reports that she has been cast as Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again, the Marvel series in development for Disney+. The Mexican star took the opportunity to denounce the outburst of hate from fans who clearly do not want his role.

“I feel like I’ll just get rid of it because, one, I’m confused by how much hate there is in it, and two, I feel like it’s saving people energy“, he wrote on Twitter. “No, I’m not playing Elektra in Daredevil, I already have an exclusive contract for the series. 3 body problems. Nothing.“

Daredevil: Born Again has been ordered for an 18-episode first season, set to premiere in 2024. Charlie Cox’s return to the title role was announced last summer at Comic-Con. Vincent D’Onofrio is also set to reprise his role as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, in the Marvel series produced for Netflix for three seasons between 2015 and 2018.
