Thor 4: Why was Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ chosen for trailer?

‘Sweet Child o’ Mine,’ by Guns N’ Roses, was part of the trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder – and there may be a curious reason for the choice of song

After a long wait, the marvel studios finally released the trailer for Thor 4: Love and Thunder (2022) this Monday, 18. In the video, we hear the song “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” of Armas e Rosas — but, after all, why was the song chosen for the trailer?

According to Screen Rantthe song can represent the future of Thor. In the film, the character’s former love interest, Jane Fosterwill reappear — just like in the song written by the vocalist Axl Rose.

In “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” the vocalist details how the singer’s love interest provides a safe haven for them where they can hide and “pray for the thunder and rain to pass silently”.

With that, the music Armas e Rosas launched in 1988 may signal a rekindling of the relationship between Thor and Jane Foster — which was drastically overshadowed and underdeveloped throughout his time in the MCU
