Warning, spoilers. It is recommended that you watch Episode 9 of House of the Dragon before continuing reading this article.
Most of the Game of Thrones Season 9 episodes have gone down in legend for various reasons, and every fan remembers their reaction to “The Battle of the Bastards” or “The Rains of Castamere.” Suffice it to say that the ninth episode of Dragon House Season 1, titled “Council of Greens,” was highly anticipated.
And it can be said that the public was not disappointed. This chapter is marked by the overthrow of Alyssent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) in King’s Landing after the death of King Viserys Targaryen. His wife’s last words convinced the queen to declare her first son Aegon as the rightful heir to the throne in place of Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma d’Arcy).
Pawns are slowly placed on the political chessboard, and low blows and betrayals follow as the Greens (named after Alicent’s team) seize control of the kingdom. If fans loved those twists, they were especially enthralled by the final act of the episode.
While Aegon’s coronation is taking place in the Great Sept, Rhaenys Targaryen (Eve Best), who has managed to escape from her room where she has been locked by Alicent, emerges from underground with her dragon Melli.
His sudden arrival causes several dozen deaths among the subjects and primarily puts a lot of pressure on the Greens. Although he is determined to instill fear in his opponents, he does not choose to kill them when a single “drakar” would be enough. Rhaenys prefers to escape to join Rhaenyra and warn her of what is happening in Port Real.
But this explosive outburst in the Big Sept was enough to make fans wonder about Rhaenys and her dragon. The character rose to prominence with episode 9, which promises to be a masterful finale to the first season of House of the Dragon.
Rhaenys just gives us an incredible show, we will remember this scene for the rest of our lives

Alicent may have said a lot of questionable things during this episode, but he spoke the biggest truth of the series:
Rhaeny Targaryen was supposed to be queen.
Look at that charisma, that presence. There is nothing else to add.#Dragon House pic.twitter.com/tRPH125PZG
