At last we can enjoy the official Spanish poster of ‘ninjababy‘, the film by the Norwegian director Yngvild Sve Flikke which won the Generation 14+ Jury Special Mention at the Berlinale, the Audience Award at the SXSW in Austin, the Retueyos Award for Best European Director at the Gijón Film Festival and was awarded Best Comedy at the EFA (European Film Awards).
With a clear gender perspective and a brilliant combination of drama and humor, ‘ninjababy‘ will introduce us to Rakel, a young woman who, at the age of 23, discovers that she is pregnant. “Rakel is an illustrator and loves being involved in different projects, but raising a baby?” Explain the official synopsis. “Rakel has to face that question sooner than expected, and the surprise is double: she is six months pregnant, so there is no option to abort. A lover of beer, drugs and sex without attachments, she has no interest in being a mother. Before making any decision, she begins to draw her “ninjababy” who will not make things easy for her.”
After sweeping the Norwegian Film Awards, and accumulating the list of awards already reviewed, Elamedia Estudios will premiere ‘Ninjababy’ in Spanish theaters on May 27 with the voices of Henar Alvarez and the come nuns dubbing the main characters of the title.
