British actor Henry Cavill has confirmed that he will return to the role of Superman. He posted a video message to fans on his social networks – You can watch it on our Telegram channel.
Cavill admitted that he was waiting for the audience to watch the film “Black Adam”, in which he appears as a superhero. The premiere of “Black Adam” with Dwayne Johnson in the title role took place in New York on October 12. Henry Cavill appeared in a post-credits scene as Superman.
I wanted to wait before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam. I want to officially announce that I have returned to the role of Superman,” said the artist.
The actor added that his cameo in the latest film is “just a small part” of what fans will see.
Thank you for your patience, it will definitely be rewarded,” he wrote under the video.
Recall that Cavill played Superman in four films: Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. In 2018, it was reported that the artist was fired from the project. Dwayne Johnson himself actively advocated the return of the actor to the DC universe.
The hero’s cameo in addition to “Black Adam” is also in the film “Shazam!” and the TV series “Peacemaker”, but Cavill himself did not participate in the filming of these scenes. The last full-fledged participation of the actor in the DC universe was in the movie “Justice League Zack Snyder”.
