The cast has shared the nostalgic reunion through their social networks.
Dear lovers of the series, we present to you one of the most nostalgic moments you will see in this 2022. I wish it had been at the Double R Diner, but everything cannot be. With the name of that cafeteria, everything will be said. And it is that several members of the cast of the series ‘Twin Peaks’ reunited this weekend to drink some wine. Who knows if maybe a piece of cherry pie fell…
The meeting was picked up by the social networks of its members: Madchen Amickwho played waitress Shelly Johnson on the ABC mystery series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch, was one of the people who shared the group photo on social media and wrote, “Precious moments with longtime friends. Feeling all the feelings.”.
Amick was accompanied by Dana Ashbrook (who played Bobby Briggs on ‘Twin Peaks’ and captioned the photo with the phrase “Some of my favorite people on earth”), Sherilyn Fenn (in charge of interpreting Audrey Horne), Kyle MacLachlan (who played FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper), Sheryl Lee (also known as Laura Palmer, and also Maddy Ferguson), kimmy robertson (Sheriff’s Station Clerk Lucy Moran) among a few other guests.
‘Twin Peaks’, without a doubt one of the best series in television history, originally lasted two seasons. The first aired from April to May 1990 and ran for only eight episodes. Following the huge success of that first year’s run, a full 22-episode second season was greenlit for that September and ran through June 1991. A prequel film, ‘Fire Walk With Me’, followed in August 1992.
The series was followed up in May 2017, when Showtime ordered an 18-episode season subtitled ‘The Return’ and written by Lynch and Frost.. MacLachlan, Amick, Ashbrook, Fenn, Lee and Robertson were among the many original cast members who reprized their roles for this sequel, which came out 25 years after its release. The series was presented at the Cannes Film Festival that year.
The series ‘Twin Peaks’ started with a very basic approach, and it was in fact with which it was promoted at its premiere: Who killed Laura Palmer? When the body of a young student from a small town in Washington appears floating in the river wrapped in plastic, the lives of all her neighbors change irremediably.
FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper arrives in town determined to solve the crime. This character will serve as a vehicle for Lynch himself to introduce the viewer to his particular universe, a place where even law enforcement officers are obsessed with the filmmaker’s favorite modus operandi: dreams.
