A mystery about Yoda was solved in a new series: it also affects Grogu

Before Disney bought “Star Wars” from George Lucas, there was an explanation as to why Yaddle stopped appearing in the movies, but now with the new series “Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi” we know what happened to her in the new canon . .

Aside from a story about Yaddle (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Count Dooku, the animated series is an anthology of various Jedi stories, but the one about the Master of the Force stands out because it revealed many mysteries in Star Wars.

One of them is Yaddle’s fate between ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’ and Episode 2, because in the first film she was a member of the Jedi High Council, but was never seen again after that.

The other big mystery that the series solved has to do with the species of Yaddle, Master Yoda and Grogu from ‘The Mandalorian’. So far little is known about them, only that their race is among the rarest in the galaxy.

The Yoda mystery revealed by Yaddle in ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi’

Prior to the “Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi” episode where Yaddle appears, her character didn’t have a single line of dialogue, leaving fans to wonder if she spoke in the same strange manner that Yoda did.

Yoda debuted in 1980’s ‘Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back’ and has since been characterized by his speech pattern in which he says the words of a sentence backwards.

Grogu, although he’s close to 50 in ‘The Mandaloria’, is essentially still a baby and thus unable to communicate with words until now.

Yaddle, voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard, finally solves the mystery and we hear another Yoda kind of person speak. To the surprise of fans, this Jedi also speaks normally in the language known as Basic which is used by most species in the galaxy.

So, 42 years after Yoda first appeared on screen, it is discovered that not everyone in his species speaks like he does in this strange way of arranging words.

How does Yaddle not speaking like Yoda affect Grogu?

The fact that Yaddle doesn’t speak in the same style as Yoda can be explained by the fact that Yoda has a physical condition such as a stutter that causes him to speak that way.

Another theory is that it’s a dialect of Yoda’s kind, but it’s been lost over time and he’s the only one who still speaks it. Yaddle could be many years younger than Yoda and speaks differently because she only learned Basic as a child.

However, this revelation has implications for the future and specifically for Grog’s character, as he is still an infant for his species and has been surrounded by people who speak in a conventional way his entire life.

So, showing that Yoda’s way of speaking is not typical of all members of his species, this means that once Grogu learns to speak in “The Mandalorian” he could do so normally.
