Dracarys! ‘The House of the Dragon’ breaks the record for viewings of ‘Game of Thrones’ in Spain. According to information shared by the channel, the series has become the most watched title on HBO’s SVOD services in Spain, surpassing season eight of ‘Game of Thrones’.

‘The house of the dragon’, which premiered to more viewers than any new original series in HBO historyand being the best series launch on HBO Max in the US, Latin America and Europe, it has an average of 29 million viewers per episode in the US, more than triple its average audience of the opening night and adding a powerful later visualization.

And there are many fantastic series that want to be the new ‘Game of Thrones’. The numbers achieved by the series are unappealable and, no matter how controversial its ending was, all platforms try to replicate the formula in one way or another.. A clear example can be found in the catalog of Netflix series, where fantasy worlds soon appeared that, with the success of ‘The Witcher’, have ended up finding their place on the channel.

But the north remembers and, as we learned with the message after the end of ‘Game of thrones’: “There is nothing more powerful in the world than a good story. No one can stop her. No enemy can defeat her.”. For this reason, at HBO they are not going to stay still and, in addition to ‘The house of the dragon’they already have the Jon Snow spin-off of ‘Game of Thrones’ in production while the Tales of Dunk and Egg series progresses.

The dramas of the Seven Kingdoms and the House of Targaryen seem to have prevailed over the other great premiere of the fantastic season: Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’. Despite a somewhat lukewarm start, ‘The House of the Dragon’ has managed to convince an audience eager for bedroom secrets, bloody betrayals, palace intrigues that would reintroduce us to a promising war for the crown that, after this first season, is already unstoppable.
