Netflix: how to subscribe or switch to the ad plan

This Thursday (3) Netflix’s advertising plan was launched, arriving in Brazil from the first day of its existence.

The new plan called “Basic with ads” has a monthly value of R $ 18.90 and will make a good part of the Netflix catalog available, but not 100%. “Due to licensing restrictions, some movies and series are not available on the Basic plan with ads,” Netflix says.

The Basic plan with ads becomes the cheapest of streaming, but it does not replace the Basic plan, which already existed before. Basic is still in operation, for BRL 25.90 / month, followed by Standard for BRL 39.90 / month and Premium for BRL 55.90 / month.

While subscribers to previous plans can proceed as if nothing had happened, with the benefit of better image quality from the Basic plan from 480p to 720p, some may choose to migrate to the cheaper plan.

How to migrate or create your streaming account with the Basic plan with ads.

Once logged in, go to Account
In the upper right corner of the Netflix home page, hover over your profile and select the Account option.
Under Plan Details, select Edit Plan
On the Account page, go to the Plan Details section and click Edit Plan
Then select the new plan
Your current plan will be selected on this page. To switch to Basic with Ads, select it from the list. Read the restrictions and notes carefully and proceed.

Finally, confirm the plan change. First, read the information on the page carefully.
The end! Now your plan is Basic with Ads, for R $ 18.90 per month.

Enter netflix.com and at the top of the screen, select “More Information”

On the page where the floor plans are presented, click with the mouse cursor on Base with ads. Read the instructions carefully. Go straight ahead.

Create a password
Next, Netflix will ask you to enter your email and create a password. Be careful when creating your password, Netflix doesn’t ask you to repeat it, so be careful not to go wrong in this step!
Choose payment method
Finally, choose how you want to pay Netflix monthly: with a credit or debit card or with a Netflix prepaid card. Select the desired option and enter the details to create the Netflix account.
Ready! You have now signed up for Netflix with the Basic plan with ads, for R $ 18.90 per month.
