The Tribeca Festival 2022 revealed the composition of narrative, documentary and animation features and shorts.

The festival also includes documentaries rainbow readingLil Baby, John McEnroe and Al Sharpton, in the movie Sharpton, big mouthWriter and director Josh Alexander, to shoot the movie on June 18. Ex rainbow reading Presenter and literacy advocate Levar Burton, McEnroe and Sharpton will also engage in follow-up conversations following their respective films. Lil Baby will perform after the world premiere of his documentary ukhapato.
“This 2022 feature film program makes us both proud and humbled by the ingenuity and boundless passion of our tireless film community,” said Kara Kuzumano, festival director and program director. “Whether it’s a comedic breath of fresh air or a sharp exposition of today’s most pressing issues, this year’s official selections still remind us of the viability and relevance of an independent film in a world that needs it more than ever.”
The festival includes 88 world premieres, 11 New York premieres, seven North American premieres, two US premieres and two international premieres. More than 64% of feature films are made by female, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ filmmakers. This year’s edition of the event also includes another selection of titles available for US viewers to watch online June 9-26 via the Tribeca at Home platform.
