‘Red One’ has a star-studded cast.

Dwayne Johnson has shared a first photo with actor JK Simmons (‘Spider-man’), from his upcoming Christmas movie ‘Red One’.
Through an Instagram post, the actor uploaded a photograph of himself with Simmons, in which the latter was dressed as Santa Claus / Father Christmas.
“AMAZING AND SO FUN, we begin production on our new Christmas franchise, known as ‘RED ONE’. Introducing the one and only Santa Claus – played by the one and only Oscar winner JK Simmons – who might as well be my twin.”
“This will be a massive, global, fun movie that will bring Christmas home to you and your families in a way you’ve never seen before. Directed by Jake Kasdan (director of the ‘JUMANJI’ films). Let’s roll!,” could be read in the publication.
The film, which is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2023, is described as a “action-adventure comedy, which imagines a whole new universe to explore, within the Christmas genre.“
Starring in the film alongside Johnson and Simmons, they will be Lucy Liu (‘Charlie’s Angels’), Kiernan Shipka (‘Riverdale’) and Chris Evans (‘Captain America’), who has admitted to wanting to do a Christmas movie for “all his career“.
The film will be written and directed by Johnson’s regular collaborators., Chris Morgan and Jake Kasdan, respectively. The first of them has worked with the actor in several of the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies. Kasdan has directed the two premieres of the reboot from the ‘Jumanji’ franchise, (he will also be in ‘Jumanji 3’).
Following the green light for the film by Amazon Studios, Johnson released a statement saying: “Seven Bucks is bullish on its partnership with Amazon Studios; backed by innovation, pioneering spirit and by their great energy and passion.“
“I have been very impressed with Jen Salke [líder de Amazon Studios], heThe vision of his team and his ambition to create the huge, fun and unique Christmas universe of ‘Red One’ for families around the world to enjoy.,” added Johnson.
‘Red One’ is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2023.
