In the midst of a financial restructuring process, Santos has revealed the athletes in its core categories to strengthen the team. In 2022 it was no different, with the Meninos da Vila becoming crucial names in the team, such as Marcos Leonardo, top scorer of Fish in the year. In all, propelled by the number 9 shirt, the players revealed in Santos’ base were responsible for almost half of the goals scored during the year.
Considering the 2022 season, Santos has scored 77 times. Of these, 33 (42.9%) came from the house’s silver feet.
The 33 goals scored by Meninos da Vila are divided among just five athletes, with a focus on top scorer Marcos Leonardo, author of 21 goals.

Of the other athletes in the team formed by other teams, the one who scored the most was Léo Baptistão, who has already left Santos, with seven goals, followed by Lucas Braga, with six. Besides them, other highlights are Madson, Angulo and Vinícius Zanocelo, both with five goals.
Alvinegro Praiano finished the Brasileirão in 12th place, with 47 points, and, therefore, will compete in the South American league next season. The Santos squad reappears in the second half of December to start the 2023 pre-season.
