The success of the series among viewers and critics
Perhaps the most compelling reason to watch The Game of Survival is the series being discussed both among critics, who noted the explosive mixture of genres and the boldness of the project, and among viewers who have not been offered such sharp and exciting plots for a long time. The trick of the series is that until the very end it leads the audience by the nose and does not give an answer to the main question, what exactly happens to the characters, whether they got into reality, which can end at any moment, or there is no game, and they become victims of someone insane. “Game of Survival” is a cunning attraction.

Answers to the questions of the first season
“Survival Game” is one of those series that you should carefully watch from the first episode of the first season in order to feel the full power of the author’s intention. Let us briefly recall how the first season ended: all participants in the show “Survivor”, about which, by the way, it is not clear whether it was a staged project or a cruel reality, died – only photographer Nikolai Subbota survived, who threatens to reveal the whole truth about the project. Teaming up with a relative of one of the dead participants, he again goes to the show to shake the whole truth out of its presenter Igor Vernik. The first season left a very large number of questions that the second will systematically answer – or give hooks for the continuation of the series.

New bright characters and relatives of old heroes
The heroes of the first season, thanks to the archetypes accurately captured by the authors, became truly popular: the fans of the series drew their portraits, wrote fanfiction, rooted for them as for real participants in reality. Since all of them died according to the plot, the scriptwriters and the casting director had a difficult task to register and find the same bright people who will not look like the old heroes, but will also meet certain archetypes and resonate in the hearts of people. They succeeded: Olya, the twin sister of the deceased Vika (Linda Lapinsh), Andrei Chadov, the real and on-screen brother of Alexei Chadov, as well as the characters of Anastasia Sapozhnikova, Valeria Repina, Denis Kotov, Anna Zaikova and others, will finally appear in the series. present a cross-section of modern professions: doctor, blogger, model, etc. And, of course, Kolya Saturday, the hero of Vladimir Verevochkin, will appear in the season, who will be the link between the two seasons.

New visual aesthetics and shooting in the desert
In the second season, the visual style of The Game of Survival completely changes: the gloomy aesthetics of forests and swamps and dark color correction are replaced by a light and yellow southern landscape. In the frame – a hot desert and buildings made of white marble, mosques, hammams. The heroes have to go through not only those tests that the demiurge throws at them, but also those that are created by nature itself. And if the faces of the actors in the frame suddenly seem too exhausted to you, know that this is not a game at all, but true emotions: the actors spent several shifts in a sixty-degree heat, and the navigator even melted in the car of the director of the series, Fyodor Chernykh.

Fight in the hammam and other action
In the continuation of the series, director Karen Oganesyan decided to focus not on action, but on the psychology of the characters, but, nevertheless, in the second season you will see many vivid battle scenes. For example, a massive violent fight in a humid and hot hammam, which was actually filmed in a hammam – and this is in hot conditions. Actor Vladimir Verevochkin, who prefers to perform fights and stunts himself, without the participation of stuntmen, says that the hammam, of course, was cooled down – but during takes it still heated up. And he emphasizes that the suffering that we will see on the face of Kolya Saturday is not his acting, but really real physical suffering caused by the heat. And Linda Lapiņš recalls the fight scene, during which she herself had to fall and win back the blows of her partner – he could not gather himself and even not really hit the woman.
