The best actor of ‘Wednesday’, Tim Burton’s series for Netflix, does not show his face on the screen. This is how the scenes with him were shot.
If you are one of those who is enjoying ‘Wednesday’ on Netflix and you’re wondering how the hell they managed to shoot the scenes with ‘Thing’the inseparable companion of Wednesday Addams, we are here to give you a hand (wink, wink).

Victor Dorobantu is the interpreter behind ‘Thing’the member (pun intended) of the cast of the new Tim Burton series who, despite not showing his face, has become one of the most beloved by fans and has managed to convey an innocent and kind personalityin contrast to the dark of her friend and partner Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega).
Dorobantu appears in the images dressed from head to toe in a blue suit that would be later removed in post-production, leaving only his right hand visible.. In the photos shared by the Netflix Twitter account and by the actor’s own Instagram, we can see the work suffered by the interpreter having to do his work in uncomfortable positions, crawling on the ground or even lying on the trolley accompanying the camera.
All of these efforts have translated beautifully on screen and have greatly intrigued the audience.. The production design of the series is commendable, be it locations, colors, or set design. It all adds up to a morbid but beautiful (slimy but tasty) world, which has been as well received by fans as it has been by critics.
The first season of ‘Wednesday’, which has been compared to ‘Harry Potter’, could return with a second season in which we would meet more members of the Addams family such as Grandma or Cousin That. Until then, the first 8 episodes of the series are available on Netflix.
