Older driver on the grid, Alonso surprised by leaving the alpine and join Aston Martin. When asked if the relationship between the parties could include a transition to a role away from the cockpit in the future, Krack nodded.
“We’ve already had some great conversations with him. This partnership, in my opinion, goes beyond driving. Fernando joins us and is already a vital part of the team,” revealed the Silverstone team boss.
“We have to see how it develops. But I think it can play an important role in the future of the team.”
Alonso finally made his debut for Aston Martin shortly after the end of Formula 1 2022in a group rehearsal session in Abu Dhabi🇧🇷 At the start of the post-season, Spaniard Alonso completed 69 laps in the RM22 and occupied the third position in the standings, in the first part of the session at Yas Marina.
The first taste of the Silverstone team’s car pleased the two-time world champion, who said he was 100% satisfied, and also Aston Martin which, even in the figure of Krack, was “very impressed” by the “spark ” which Alonso lit during the session.
