McLaren boss Zak Brown doesn’t think the season has been dull due to the dominance of Max Verstappen and Red Bull as, for him, racing has been exciting
There is no doubt: the season of 2022 from Formula 1 was absurdly dominated by Max Verstappen and the Red Bull. In addition to his second championship, the Dutchman was the one who won the most, took the most pole positions and finished on the podium. Record after record. “Given Max’s dominance it doesn’t look like it has been a boring season, with the results on paper you would think it would be boring. But I think every race has been very exciting,” he said.

“I think new regulations always need to be refined, but I think we got it right. And the racing has been really exciting this year,” he continued.
Despite this, only three teams have triumphed in the championship: Toro, Ferraris and Mercedes🇧🇷 There weren’t enough surprises or crazy trials to show another winner. However, of that triad, only McLaren finished on the podium at Imola, while Haas saw a surprising pole position from Kevin Magnussen in Sao Paulo.
🇧🇷[Tivemos] many learnings. Lots of ups and downs. We weren’t as competitive as last year, but I think we’re a better team this year. We are operationally more robust,” she analyzed.
“Our pit stops are better. We have our investments which are almost completed. So I think we have learned a lot. New regulations and excitement for next year,” concluded Brown.
