The Prime Video panel at CCXP22 brought Amazon’s biggest streaming productions to the Thunder Stage, with many emotions and surprises. The biggest pop culture event in the country wrapped up this Sunday (4), but it brought plenty of surprises along the way, including the first teaser for ‘The Boys’ spin-off ‘Gen V’.

Aline Diniz and Ikaro Kadoshi hosted the Prime Video panel at CCXP22, with an orchestra and lantern light show distributed to the audience.

Right away, Prime Video brought its biggest production to the stage: “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” was performed by actors Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Sara Zwangobani, Trystan Gravelle and Ismael Cruz Córdova.

The latter stole the spotlight during the Prime Video panel at CCXP22, delivering most of his lines in Portuguese. The actor thanked the support of the Brazilian public during the events in which he was attacked because his character was the first dark elf in the “Lord of the Rings” universe. Also, he talked about incorporating capoeira movements into his character of him.

Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Míriel of “The Rings of Power”, commented on a scene from the seventh episode of the series shown during the panel, in which her character, already blind, promises Galadriel that Númenor will return to Middle-earth to fight alongside to the elves. Addai-Robinson said this intense scene was the first shot of her in the production.

“The Wheel of Time” was performed on the Prime Video panel at CCXP22 by actors Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney and Kate Fleetwood. There, exclusive scenes from the second season of the series were shown.

Other series that reached the CCXP22 stage were ‘Jack Ryan’ and ‘Peripherals’. Represented by Michael Kelly, Mike November and Betty Gabriel, who will play a new character, the action series starring John Krasinski has been awarded exclusive scenes and an unreleased trailer.

In turn, “Peripherals” presented an exclusive behind-the-scenes video from the series that won its latest episode last week, featuring Chlöe Grace Moretz and executive producer Lisa Joy. Moretz said he learned martial arts in “Kick Ass” and is a fan of first-person shooter video games such as “Call of Duty”.

The biggest surprise of the panel was due to “Gen V”, spin-off series of “The Boys”. The panel was drawing to a close, but the farewell tone was dropped. The most acclaimed original series on Prime Video could not be excluded from CCXP22, and a teaser of the highly anticipated series “The Boys: Gen V” was shown, to the delight of the audience.

As for the Brazilian productions, Prime Video has released a preview and announced the premiere date of the second season of the series “Dom”, with the new episodes arriving on the platform on March 17, 2023.

Another national production is “An Unforgettable Year”, a four-film franchise that will adapt the stories of a book of the same name, which contains stories signed by Thalita Rebouças, Paula Pimenta, Bruna Vieira and Babi Dewet. The four films are scheduled for release in 2023.
