‘White House Plumbers’ Trailer Shows Woody Harrelson Testifying in Watergate Case

HBO Max released, this Friday (9), the trailer for “White House Plumbers” (“White House Plumbers”, in literal translation), a series that shows the backstage of the famous Watergate scandal.

The plot revolves around the big names behind the Democratic National Committee raid on the Watergate Hotel in 1972. In the trailer, we see Woody Harrelson, known for roles in ‘True Detective’, ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘The People Versus Larry Flint’ as Officer E. Howard Hunt, among others.

Also on the show is Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy. The trailer shows the two main agents tasked with securing Nixon’s election victory by then White House Counsel John Dean (Domhnall Gleeson).

“We will forever be mocked as third-rate thieves,” Harrelson says in the trailer.

“White House Plumbers” also features Lena Headey, Judy Greer and Ike Barinholtz, among others. The five-episode series will premiere in March 2023, is directed and produced by David Mandel, responsible for another White House-related series, ‘Veep’.

‘Wonder Woman 3’: Patty Jenkins Won’t Direct Sequel

Patty Jenkins, director of the first two “Wonder Woman” films, will not be at the helm of the third feature. The information was disclosed by The Wrap on Thursday (8).

On Wednesday, new DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran rejected Jenkins and co-writer Geoff Johns’ continuity for the new film.

On Twitter, Gunn said on Thursday (8) that “some things are true, some are half-truths, some are not true, and some have not yet been decided whether or not they are true.”
