Made in America, starring Tom Cruise, is the action film chosen for Domingo Maior, broadcast this Sunday (11) on Rede Globo.
This Sunday (11th) Great Sunday brings another action movie electrifying for the globe screen: Made in America🇧🇷 Directed by Doug Liman, the 2017 feature film tells an extraordinary story based on real events starring Tom Cruise.
The film is set in the 1980s, when Pablo Escobar’s Medellín cartel was operating at full capacity and was the main supplier of cocaine to the United States. The country’s authorities had no idea how the cartel’s scheme worked and that’s why they came up with a secret mission: to infiltrate the drug trafficker’s operations by plane pilots.
It is in this context that Barry Seal, an opportunist pilot of Trans World Airlines, appears. And why opportunist? Well, he was one of the professionals invited by the CIA to take part in this extremely delicate operation, but he saw in it an opportunity to change his life. Therefore, while investigating drug trafficking for the country’s intelligence agency, Seal was also trafficking drugs and weapons under the radar of the authorities.
