With just over a third of Division 1 completed, midfielder Diego Miranda is fully confident in Al-Riyadh’s chances of achieving its main objective in the competition: access to Saudi football’s elite. Six points behind G4, the Brazilian’s team comes from two victories and is constantly evolving in the championship. Diego comments on the current situation.

– We didn’t do very well in the first ten rounds, but we are reacting. The cast has quality and just has to “fit in”. These last two good results have already shown everyone that we are capable of evolving a lot in the competition,” he said.

Al-Riyadh returns to the field after the World Cup, on the 20th, against Al-Sahel. In his fourth season in Arab football, Diego already knows the championship which he is looking to win for the second time in a row. According to him, a rough start does not nullify the chances of a team reacting and reaching its goal.

– This has already happened, of course. The championship is long, balanced, with ups and downs for almost all the teams. The most important thing is to have an upward curve from now on,” he concluded.
