When you think about dinner automatically those caloric foods, which for many can eat without guilt. However, there is a chance to celebrate this moment in a healthy way. Weight loss expert nutritionist Dr. Ana Luisa Vilela teaches you how to prepare a protein dinner at Natal Fitness.

Christmas fitness tips with protein dinner

“The ideal is to use foods rich in fiber that help digestion and increase the sense of satiety,” he says. Meat of all kinds such as poultry, fish, cereals such as beans, chickpeas, soy, peanuts, eggs, as well as milk and derivatives, can make up a nice protein and much less caloric dinner.

The turkey takes center stage at this holiday and doesn’t need to be left out of the wholesome dinner party. That way, you don’t overuse it when dressing, after all it’s only 5% fat and 20% protein.

“Without artificial condiments you can focus on garlic, onion and pepper. Garlic is an excellent booster of the immune system, as well as having a diuretic action, promoting biliary secretion and being a friend of the heart”, explains the doctor.

Then put it in the oven. “Drinking the dish with olive oil helps moisten the meat and lubricate the intestines. It has an important cardiovascular role,” comments Dr. AN extension.

Dried fruit, typical of this season, is an excellent alternative to fresh fruit. Apart from this they make the difference in the final budget. “Dried plums, for example, which have 200 calories per 100 grams, can be replaced by fresh plums. Only 13 calories each, but if the idea is to eat dried fruit, replace it with other less caloric ones. The traditional raisins, with 300 calories in just 100gr, can be replaced by dried apricots, 100 calories for the same amount”, says the nutrologist.

Does it combine with alcohol?

The secret is to settle for a glass of alcoholic drink at the most when toasting. Half a glass of champagne, for example, averages 50 calories.
