“What you did here today is inexplicable. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because women’s football deserves this from you and you give us back. You deserve this (the title). It’s for you. Eternal gratitude for everything,” said the player, who wore the jersey of the organized public.

In the first leg, held at the Estádio Bruno José Daniel, Verdão had already taken the lead, winning 1-0, with a goal from Patrícia Sochor. Already this Wednesday, Palestrinas scored 2-1 at Sereias da Vila – goals by Bia Zaneratto and Ary Borges – to keep the title.

This is the second state title in the history of women’s football for Palmeiras. The first was won in 2001. With this cup, Alviverde ends the year of the modality, for the first time, with two conquests. The other was the Libertadores, unpublished, won in October, in Ecuador.

The crowd of 20,071 is the largest at the Allianz Parque in women’s football matches, breaking the previous record of 11,450 fans, set in the match between Palmeiras and Corinthians, in the second leg of the semi-final of the 2022 Brazilian championship.
