Fans of actress Ana de Armas, best known to viewers for the films “Blonde” and “Knives Out”, sued the authors of the film “Yesterday”. It is reported by Variety. Two men complained about the tape’s misleading advertising. They noted that the trailer for “Yesterday” contains scenes with de Armas, while in the final version of the tape they are not.
De Armas played one of the roles in the film, but the episodes with her participation were cut out during editing. However, the commercials were not edited. According to the fans of the artist, this was done intentionally in order to attract an additional audience.

Fans consider themselves victims of the unfair work of the Universal film studio involved in the release. They rented the film on Amazon Prime specifically to evaluate de Armas’ new role. However, they were disappointed. The purchase of the film cost Conor Wolfe and Peter Michael Rosza $3.99. Now they are demanding at least $5 million in compensation from Universal. The federal court considered that the men’s complaint should be considered.
The studio’s lawyers during the hearing argued that the trailer is an “artistic, expressive work” and should not be considered a commercial project. But the court disagreed with their arguments, calling the trailers advertising content.
