Cold front, wind circulation and humidity corridor cause heavy rains over most of the country
Many areas of Brazil started the day with this sultry weather and already with light and isolated rains. This Monday, the passage of a cold front modifies the weather in the Southern Region, causing an increase in heavy rainfall in the mountainous areas of the RS, and the diffusion of clouds brought from the east of SC and PR, in addition, wind circulation, heat and moisture causing heavy rain in the Southeast, Midwest, and interior Northeast, with the ITCZ strengthening, spreading clouds over the east of the AP.

This Monday, the passage of a cold front along the coast of the southern region, combined with the circulation of winds, favors an increase in rainfall in the mountainous region of Rio Grande do Sul, east of Santa Catarina and Paraná. In these areas, some sunshine in the morning and rain already increasing between the end of the morning and the beginning of the afternoon. The blows can come hard with lightning and gusts of wind, even in the capitals, Curitiba, Florianópolis and Porto Alegre.
In the southeast, the combination of heat, humidity and wind circulation still favors the increase of rain clouds in Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. Sultry day, already sunny in the morning, increasing instability and rain showers interspersed with sunny periods. On the north coast of Rio, in Vitória and Linhares, in Espírito Santo, the rain is more isolated and punctual. The sun reappears north of Minas and the showers are concentrated more in the afternoon.

In the Midwest, all this circulation of winds and the humidity present in the atmosphere still cause these strongest blows between east and north of Mato Grosso, north-central Goiás and in the Federal District. There are still good openings to the sun and the feeling is suffocating. Already in Mato Grosso do Sul, a lot of sun during the day and rain mostly concentrated between the afternoon and night.
The interior of the Northeast continues with more volatile weather, with sunshine and heavy rain showers. Risk of lightning and thunderstorms in the capitals, São Luís, Teresina and Salvador. The showers occur mostly between the afternoon and the night, but can be accompanied by gusts of wind. On the northeastern eastern coast, sunny and quite warm day, very high temperatures in the afternoon, isolated and passing rains.
The North Region remains muffled. Temperatures exceed 30°C in the region on a sunny day, with many variations of clouds and rain from early morning in Acre, in eastern Amazonia, in the region of Manaus, in southern Pará and in the state of Tocantins. In these regions risk of afternoon thunderstorms. East and north Amapá remain under the influence of the ITCZ, reinforcing rain clouds and storms. In the other areas, rain showers, interspersed with periods of improvement and lots of sun between the morning and the afternoon.

Wind gusts from 40 to 50 km/h at Porto Alegre, coast and south of RS.
Watch out for heavy rains with lightning and gusts of wind in São Luís, Teresina, Ilhéus and Porto Seguro.

Watch out for heavy rains in RO, south of GO, Triângulo de MG, north of PA and within AM.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 km/h on the north coast of Rio de Janeiro.
