Opening 2023 with brunch at one of São Paulo’s most luxurious addresses is on the “bucket list” of many who have stayed in the city this year. At Palácio Tangará, for example, New Year’s brunch starts at 1pm (which means you can sleep late) and will be served at the “Pateo do Palácio”. In a rich three-course menu, the truffle wagyu tartare with pine nuts and mujol eggs stand out; breaded coconut prawns with pineapple-pumpkin chutney and champagne risotto with seared scallops. The cost is BRL 590 per person, with soft drinks, sparkling wine, wine, aperol spritz and gin&tonic. The Grand Hyatt SP offers its “Sunday Brunch” on January 1st. The buffet consists of seafood options. Also included are classic breakfast items such as muffins, waffles, pancakes with maple syrup, poached eggs, and eggs benedict. To harmonize, sparkling wine and wine options will be offered. At the Hyatt hotel, brunch costs R$ 420.
Shaman promises a special New Year’s Eve show in Paulista
The singer Xamã will be one of the attractions of the Paulista New Year’s Eve. The artist, born in Setiba, west of Rio de Janeiro, whose birth name is Jason Fernandes, has three albums, three EPs and adds, on Spotify alone, more than 8.5 million monthly listeners. “Singing Paulista’s New Year’s Eve is like closing the year with a golden key. 2022 has given me moments of great joy,” he said. “It’s been a great year. I want to celebrate this wonderful cycle and secure a show for those who will enjoy New Year’s Eve at one of the biggest New Year’s parties in the country. I’m preparing a special show, with a new arrangement and lots of surprises,” he added.

A study by Loft Dados showed that the neighborhoods of Pinheiros, Jardim Paulista and República are the ones with the largest number of bars and restaurants in the city of SP. Consolação, Vila Mariana and Itaim Bibi also stand out in the survey. In absolute number of establishments, Pinheiros (382 establishments), Jardim Paulista (334), República (177) and Consolação (169) topped the list. Throughout the city, the average is 40 establishments per neighborhood.
