Brazil scores 3-1 in Norway and cheers against the Italians

The Olympic medalist from São Paulo beat her rival by 6/3 6/4 after 1h50min. The day began with Thiago Monteiro’s defeat against Casper Ruud, in third place, 6/3 6/2, but Pigossi recovered from the defeat against Lucia Bronzetti in the first meeting.
Mixed doubles duel also for Brazil with Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos, with the possibility of extending the lead up to 4-1. For a place in the next stage, the national team needs a win for Norway against Italy.
On the first day Bia Maia and Felipe Meligeni defeated Melane Helgo and Viktor Durasovic.
In today’s match, Laura started strong, opened 4-0, allowed her rival to pull over at 4-3, and confirmed her triumph 6/3. In the second set she opened 5-1, lost a chance, saw her rival give back two breaks, nearly 4/5, but she went up and at the second chance she made a step winning the duel.
