LinkedIn’s Product Director shared the platform’s plans for the year that just began.
Tomer Cohen, director of products at LinkedIn, shared on the platform some statistics and news expected for 2023.
WHAT WAS THERE? The list combines newly released features like the native post scheduler and 2023 to-do list. There’s an emphasis on accessibility and search. Check out the highlights:
- Improved generation of automatic subtitles for videos (only available in English for now) and high contrast option for them;
- Standardization of job titles related to accessibility;
- Alt text for images in Campaign Manager, for use in ads;
- Introduction of “job collections” to make the job search more random and independent of the research field;
- Market expansion of B2B products and services within the platform;
- More detailed views in stats dashboards for pages and creators.
WHAT ELSE? It’s safe to say that more features will be developed and released throughout the year. Cohen’s list is more of an overview of LinkedIn’s areas of interest.
HUGE NUMBERS. The executive used the momentum to divulge some LinkedIn data for 2022:
- 3 people per second registered on the platform;
- 8 people were hired per minute;
- Total events created on LinkedIn increased by 75% compared to 2021;
- The volume of published content has doubled;
- LinkedIn newsletter subscriptions quadrupled to 180 million.
